Blending

My new year and my old year are blending into each other. Because

  1. I still  have Christmas presents i haven't finished or given.
  2. some arguing is still unresolved
  3. The mess that is my house is still taunting me.
However (veggie tales minstrels singing)

  1. I have been keeping up with the daily cleaning
  2. have been making random bursts of cleaning successes
  3. I am REALLY wanting to get it clean, not just feeling like i should but wanting it, big dif.
  4. I really want to start creating things, which is very hard to do in a messy house.
  5. and my husband has finally seemed to realize how much his helping, helps.
So Hazuha to a New year and here we go!!

New year, new hope? or same old same old.

So here is the New year, rather you like it or not.
I am always split on this mostly because if i make any resolutions i feel like I'm cheating on all the resolutions that i failed last year. Hhhmmm. Well anyway here are mine.

  1. To get healthy, mostly by playing more with my kids, and maybe a dance class.
  2. To keep writing here, and actually take classes in the arts i love, and KEEP with them.
  3. To be there for all my loved ones, in practical ways, not just yammering in their ears.
  4. to actually get tested for ADHD
  5. to move the heck out of this house
  6. to plan ahead for home school
  7. to plan ahead for anything
  8. to be able to tell when to take things personally and when to not
  9. to sing more
  10. to have my home clean enough to feel comfortable inviting others over, then invite them.
  11. to do more projects with the kids, like build a clubhouse.
  12. to learn to sew and crochet
  13. to actually scrapbook all the pictures i have
  14. to volunteer
  15. to go to Ireland(actually more of a before i die thing)
  16. to learn German, and signing, and Spanish
  17. to start fostering again
  18. to do projects with my Sib's and other kids in my life
  19. to write short stories and a play
  20. to become a sharp shooter with a gun and a bow
  21. to read my Bible all the way thru
  22. to get the pictures of my dad and mom and ancestors from his and her family, which will be difficult and uncomfortable
  23. AND
and the list goes on which is one of my probs.
so yeah!!
 new year.
  woot woot.
(slightly unsure grin.)
Well bye, for now, and may all your resolutions come to fruition.
                                                                                                              E

The Very last minute

Hello (with little anime wave and lilt),
It's the Morning of Christmas, silent happy dance, I am up because

  1. my 7 month old decided to eat
  2.  I cannot get back to sleep due to to much caffeine at 2am
  3. To excited about getting to see the kids open their gifts.
my hubby while helping me put the gifts under the tree said "Our kids are so spoiled" I don't think so but I'm a gift giver so I tend to want to get everyone everything the might want for the holidays. And thanks to sales and finding things I forgot that I bought in the summer they boys have plenty. I do feel like the girl baby got a little jeped but she is 7 months and doesn't care, I hope.
However if you where not a kid you kinda did get hosed, which is something I plan on working on next year. You know, by actually make a list and checking it twice. To make sure everyone I care about knows that I care about them, even if all I'm able to get is a card telling them so. I would at least like to get to the card which I will not be able to do without said list.  So back to bed I go, hopeful with visions of nothing in my head and only drool on my pillow.
Merry Christmas to all and to all a good morning, E

I'm Last, Last minute.

Hey there,
Christmas is kicking my butt by

  1.  Trying to get thru the everyday and not feel like I'm getting enough fun Christmas stuff in.
  2.  The presents are really hard because we are so B.R.O.K.E.
  3.  Which, leaves me tryin to work with the stuff I have and being reminded that I should really start these things much earlier. {I say to myself for the 2nd ,3rd,4th year in a row.}
  4. Finding an idea I like and wanting to do it for one and all.
Le Sigh. I am very thankful for YouTube right now for all the great ideas and good music. Liking myfroggystuff.blogspot .com for all the cute doll ideas, especially the stocking  idea.  MissRemiAshten had some really cute ideas. And there where so many more that I was getting a little overwhelmed. Pinterest could give me seizures if I didn't take breaks.
So far I have only bought a few gifts for the kids and a gag gift for the hubby because he said and I quote   " I don't need nothin."  Sigh ( and look of aggravation) Men make it so hard to get them something. He will probably end up getting what most of my family and friends will be getting , coupons, yes I know they are little overdone but if I have nothing else I have printer ink and the ability to type. Go me! I am also doing some arty canvas things and glass etching [ if I get the butt in gear].
If all else fails I recommend vegging out with the family to a feel-good movie that reminds you that there is more to the holidays then stuff.  LIKE

  1. Miracle on 34th ST.
  2. Wonderful Life
  3. How the Grinch stole Christmas
  4. Prep and Landing
  5. Rudolph the red nosed reindeer (the stop motion)
  6. Any other of the stop motion
to name but a few. Well I must away, because cryin babies wait for no one.

                                                                                        Merry Christmas and God Bless.
                                                                                                                               E

Hey there, Internet! That's an interjection and I know that because of schoolhouse rock. I'm back and sooner than a month, so go me. Though i don't take all the credit; those long hours of dark help. I am here to rant about the things i like do and do not like right this second.

on the Do Not

  1. Mice.   If ya don't know why then you have never a) lived in the country b) in a old house and c) with kids that refuse to learn that food stays in the kitchen. At this point if i could get my hands on the little buggers (after screaming) i would do things that would make Peta come after me. AKA I hate them.(big, cheesy, slightly crazy grin) (to the mice not the kids)
on the Do

  1. Sleep.  Why because its late and i have five four kids. (almost said five, which shows you how tired i am)
Tips and or Advise

  1. do not put a dog in a bathroom with an open trashcan and a clean basket of laundry.
  2. coffee is your friend, learn to love it.
  3. have a special place to put important papers, everything is not important, and don't make the place so special you cannot ever find it again.
That's all folks, I believe i should go to bed before i start getting weird.
 Night.
God loves ya, and if he doesn't we are all in trouble.
Blah, Blah, Blah, ZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzz.........

P.S. here is a pic of the pumpkin craft i  did from myfroggystuff.blogspot.com again the lady has some amazing stuff.

SSSSssssooooooo...

Sooooo I've been forgetful of late. but I'm working on it all.
My mother in law has been coming over to help which has been awesome and tiring. I have actually , with the insistence of my nieces and little sisters, been getting some crafting done. Can you say 'My Froggy Stuff '..... if ya can't then you really should check out her site on YouTube and facebook the woman is awesome!!! (and yes I like that word)
I am actually planning on DIYing Christmas gifts for my friends, mostly because I'm broke, and because I'd like to make something personal. My only prob. being whenever I find a cool idea I feel like I should make everyone one. Le Sigh. That's all for now. I will be back ASAP.

Well at least I made it back.?

Hello again,
SOoooooo. ( pursed lips and apologetic smile at the corners.) Alright yeah it's been a little bit. I'm pretty sure this will only be a once a week thing, at least to begin with. Discovering that it takes me awhile to make something a pattern and is all to easy for me to slip out of it. You would think at 32 I would know this, but I did not. I said this would be a getting to know you post so here are some things that I do know about myself.
.1. I forget things.   ( big toothy grin)
.2. I am seriously picky about my authors. There are many good ones but only a few great ones.
.3. I was born and raised in the Midwest, which means I will occasionally type with an accent. ( my phone autocorrects for the words I write but it still marks them in red. As if to say "Really?!")
.4. I am best friends with my mother and my dad cracks me up.
.5. I am the oldest of 9 kids.
.6. I am a mother to 4 kids, three boys and a girl.
.7. 5 years ago I was a street performer in the KC Renfest and I still miss it.
.8. I see things in pictures. Every book I have read is in my head as a movie. So are most of the comments I have heard, sometimes the pictures are not pretty. Sometimes my friends use this against me.
.9. I always rent to many library books and have returned more than I will ever be able to read, but my librarian likes me. Not sure the free books off Amazon are good for me.
.10. I have never learned to park that well and I am afraid to get in a sports car for fear that I will hit the gas and never look back. ( she says with a dangerous smirk.)
I would say that is probably good for now. IF anyone is reading this and would like to know anything else let me know. Next I think I will try a DIY, but I Promise Nothing! ( she says with a smile and odd look on her face.)
sidenote: does anyone know how to get the pictures to upload on this thing?
